The next Swedish government will have to take the Swedish labour market into the 2020s. How can we make the best use of digitalisation and globalisation and what policies are needed when we hit an economic downturn? What challenges and opportunities does the OECD see for the Swedish labour market?
The first OECD Jobs Strategy, published in 1994, influenced many countries to deregulate their labour markets. In the second strategy 2006, the Nordic model was described as an alternative way of creating a well-functioning labour market. In 2018, it is time for a new OECD Jobs Strategy. What will it contain and what are the implications for Sweden?
